MFM Edmoton Children's Church

Welcome to MFM Edmonton Children’s Ministry. We believe that children should understand and know and cherish the infinite value of God, thereby, wanting children to become so acquainted with the Word of God that they treasure Him alone as the One who saves and satisfies the heart.

The Children’s church, aged 2 to 12 years of age. Each week we focus on a theme from the bible and base all our activities such as games, object lessons, drama and bible stories around the theme. In so doing this, our aim is to ensure that the children experience maximum fun whilst learning and growing in God.

All our workers, over 18 years of age, have been police checked and trained in the best practice guidelines set out in the Church’s Child Protection Policy (which is available upon request). If you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact us.

Who is God? PDF Print E-mail

As a child have you ever thought about who God is? Do you really believe in him or do you just believe in Him because you want to please mummy and daddy?
My dear friend, God is real, He exists and He loves you. Below are some Bible verses to help you understand who God is.

Genesis 1:1-2 (Amplified Bible)
1. In the beginning God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens  and the earth.
2. The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters.

Who is Jesus PDF Print E-mail
Jesus is the Son of God. He was born in a manger in the city of Bethlehem. His earthly parents were Mary and Joseph. The Holy Spirit conceived him.

Mt 1:18. ‘Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place under these circumstances: When His mother Mary had been promised in marriage to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be pregnant [through the power] of the Holy Spirit.’ God gave his name through an angel. Lk 1:31 ‘And listen! You will become pregnant and will give birth to a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus’.

Who is the Holy Spirit? PDF Print E-mail

In the first lesson we talked about who God is, secondly, we looked at who Jesus is and now we are going to study about the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is a mystery, which means it is one of the issues that only God can fully explain.  I will explain the Holy Spirit using the example of a boiled egg.

God the father could be the shell of the egg. God the son could be the white bit of the egg while God the Holy Spirit could be the yellow part.  God can manifest Himself in being God the father, Son or Holy Spirit. That is why sometimes it is referred to as Trinity.  For example in Mt 28:19 it states.. ‘Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit.’

Jesus Died and Rose Again PDF Print E-mail
Matthew 27 & 28
It is good news for Christians and is the story of how Jesus died for our sins. It happened over 2,000 years ago. God had made a plan of how you and me could be forgiven our sins and get to heaven.

When it was time God allowed the soldiers to arrest Jesus. When they got hold of Jesus, they took off his clothes and put a scarlet robe on him. They twisted a crown of thorns and put it upon his head. These thorns had pricks on them and were very painful. They mocked Him and spat on Him.
